Ordained Wedding Officiant

Lori Dood is a licensed, bonded, insured, and ordained wedding officiant serving couples throughout Central Florida, coast to coast, including Polk, Hillsborough, and Pinellas Counties. Since 2019 she has officiated beach elopements, backyard weddings, micro weddings, and small venue ceremonies, each one written around the couple rather than read from a template. Couples choose Lori for affordable, transparent pricing that keeps the ceremony legally recognized while leaving more of the budget for the honeymoon, a down payment, or starting a family. To check date availability or discuss your ceremony, call 727-275-4641.

Signs You Need a Professional Wedding Officiant

If you’re planning an intimate ceremony in Central Florida, whether at a local park, on a Gulf Coast beach, in your backyard, or at a small venue, having an experienced officiant ensures everything is handled correctly without the expense and complexity of a large traditional wedding.

Couples choose a micro wedding or elopement usually for three reasons: simpler planning, less stress, and a budget that stays under control.

Whether the ceremony is at a local park, on a Gulf Coast beach, in your backyard, or at a small venue, we handle the legal requirements and the ceremony flow so nothing gets missed. Lori walks you through the process ahead of time, arrives prepared, and keeps the ceremony moving so the day runs the way you pictured it.

No venue coordinator unless you want one. No traditional wedding overhead. Just the vows, a location meaningful to you and the people who matter most is really all that you need to make your day special. Any decorations will be completely up to you.

How the Wedding Officiant Process Works

It starts with a conversation. Lori gets to know you as a couple, what matters to you, what tone you’re going for, gives you a few options on what kind of nuptials you would like, would you like a bible verse read or something more traditional. That conversation is what separates a personalized ceremony from a forgettable one.

From there, she writes a ceremony tailored specifically to your story. You review it, request any changes, and finalize the details together before the big day. She can work with couples who want traditional vows, custom vows they’ve written themselves, or something in between.

On the day of the ceremony, Lori arrives early, coordinates with your venue or location, and guides you through every moment. After it’s done, she signs and stamps the marriage license. You have the choice to file the license yourself with the appropriate Florida county clerk or you can choose to have us to file for you for an additional fee.

What a Wedding Officiant Costs in Central Florida

Wedding officiants across Central Florida typically charge $350 to $600 for a personalized ceremony, with fully custom scripts and rehearsal attendance running $500 to $800, plus premiums for weekend dates, travel, and cultural elements. Lori Dood Mobile Notary keeps overhead low and passes the savings on: ceremonies in Polk County are $150, and beach ceremonies are $225. There are no surprise add-ons either, since Florida couples can return their signed marriage license to the Clerk of Court themselves or if you prefer, we will submit he license to the Clerk of Court that you obtained the license from for an additional fee depending on when and where that is. Call or text 727-275-4641 with your date and location for an accurate quote.
